Install Hiya Spam Blocker
Go to the "Hiya: Spam Blocker" page in the Google Play Store and tap Install
Open the app follow the on-screen instructions
Set Hiya as your default phone app
To block and identify calls, Hiya Spam Blocker needs to be your default phone app:
When prompted, tap Set Default Phone App (or go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app → Hiya)
To show Caller ID over other screens, allow "Draw over other apps" when prompted
Set up blocking
Tap the Blocking tab at the bottom
Tap Block List and use the + button to add numbers
Turn on automatic spam & nuisance blocking (Premium): open the Premium tab and enable Spam Blocking
On older versions of the app, blocking options can be found via Settings → Call Settings.
Allow your contacts
Go to Settings → Call Settings and make sure "Calls from saved contacts" is set to Do nothing so your contacts always ring through.
Note: Hiya only uses your phone's contact list to appropriately handle calls. We do not use or share contact information for any other purpose.
