How to set up Hiya Spam Blocker for iPhone

Install Spam Blocker

1. Download the Hiya Spam Blocker app from the Apple App Store

2. Open the app and follow the on-screen setup instructions

3. Enable all requested permissions

4. Allow access to your contacts – this ensures that calls from your saved contacts will ring through

Note: Access to your contacts is necessary for Hiya Spam Blocker to properly handle your calls. Hiya does not use or share contact information for any other purpose.

Enable call blocking

1. Open Settings on your iPhone

2. Scroll down and tap Phone

3. Tap Call Blocking & Identification

4. Enable all Hiya toggles (there should be three)

Note: If the toggles don’t appear right away, this is a known issue with the iOS system. Wait about an hour and check again — it can take up to 24 hours in rare cases.

Optional: Enable Call Screener (Premium)

If you have a Premium subscription, tap Settings → Activate Call Screener for enhanced protection including voicemail screening and real-time caller identification.
