Update the app in the App Store (requires iOS 13 or above)
Check that Hiya Spam Blocker is enabled in Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification
Don’t force-quit the app — Hiya Spam Blocker needs to run in the background to update its spam database and provide the most up-to-date spam and fraud protection
Open Hiya Spam Blocker once a day — this triggers a spam list update if the background refresh hasn’t run
Important: Uninstalling will erase your block list. You may want to take a screenshot before uninstalling.
Disable Hiya Spam Blocker in Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification
Force-quit the Settings app
Uninstall Hiya Spam Blocker
Restart your device
Reinstall Hiya Spam Blocker and re-enable the toggles
If you have a Premium subscription, open Hiya Spam Blocker and go to Settings → Contact & Support → Restore subscription to re-enable your Premium features.
If you’ve completed the full reset above and spam calls are still getting through, there may be a temporary issue with the blocking service. Contact support to report your bug from Settings → Help and Support — this helps us track the issue.
