On iPhone, Hiya Spam Blocker blocks spam calls and shows caller ID through a set of switches in your phone's settings, under Call Blocking & Identification. When they're all on, Hiya can identify and block unwanted calls. If any are off — or missing — blocking and caller ID stop working as expected, even when the app looks set up correctly.
Here's how to find these switches, make sure they're all on, and fix them if they don't appear or won't stay enabled.
On iPhone, Hiya Spam Blocker works through switches at Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification. You'll see three switches labeled:
Hiya — 1 of 3
Hiya — 2 of 3
Hiya — 3 of 3
Turn on all three. If any are off, call blocking and caller ID won't fully work — even though the app itself may look set up.
Sometimes after installing or updating, the switches take a while to show up. This delay is a known issue on Apple’s part, not a Hiya Spam Blocker issue.
Wait at least one hour after installing — they usually appear within an hour
Reboot your phone and check again
Navigate manually: Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification
In rare cases it can take 24–48 hours. If they still don't appear after 2–3 days, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Update Hiya Spam Blocker to the latest version in the App Store — earlier versions had a bug that could reset these switches
Reboot your phone, then turn all three switches back on
Confirm all three (Hiya — 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3) are on
