How to block spam calls from specific area codes and prefixes

What are spoofed/neighbor scam calls?

Scammers often use phone numbers with your local area code to trick you into answering. These are called "neighbor scam" or spoofed calls.

Block by area code on Android

1. Open Hiya Spam Blocker and go to the Blocking tab → Block List

2. Tap + and select "Numbers that begin with"

3. Enter the area code or number prefix you want to block

Block by area code on iPhone

1. Open Hiya Spam Blocker and tap the Blocking tab → Block List

2. Tap + and select "Numbers that begin with"

3. Enter the area code + prefix to block

Free users: Can set warnings for up to 25 area code/prefix combinations.

Premium users: Can fully block up to 25 area code/prefix combinations.

Note: On iPhone, Apple does not allow blocking an entire area code alone — you must include at least an area code + prefix.
